Lazy Beach Days

I LOVE beach pictures, but I love the Painters even more! They were some of my first customers, and some of my very favorite pictures are of her boys. I have come to look forward to seeing them at all of my MI visits.

We had a great time at their cottage on the lake, and I love how their pictures turned out. We love you guys and look forward to the showing you your slideshow!!!

Bring on the Rain!

I have always wanted to do some umbrella, rainy day shots, and finally had the opportunity yesterday! They turned out even better than I had hoped!

Andrea, thanks for being such a good sport during the rain. You and your family have become some of my favorite people. I love having a job that I get to meet so many cool people!

I had such a hard time choosing which pics to put on the blog, because I loved our session last night THAT much!!! I can't wait til our viewing session when you get to see them all!!!

Shop Local Buy Local

I was so honored when Jeremy asked me to put together some pictures for Shop Local Buy Local. If you are not familiar with the organization, definitely check it out - http://www.shoplocalbuylocal.com/. It is a tool for small business owners to share what they are all about, post pictures, connect with the community, etc. For about a dollar a month, there is no reason why anyone with a small business shouldn't join!

For those of you in the community, it's a great tool for you to use to connect with your town, and support Main Street America. Can you tell I'm a little bit excited about this?!

So, I was able to meet some great business owners. Here are some of their pictures and businesses.

Okay now, if you have not been to Season's Bakery in Gettysburg, clear your calendar this weekend and make time to go. Trust me, you'll be kicking yourself for not going sooner. Jeremy, the owner and chef, uses local produce (hurray for local!) and meats to create amazing lunches. He also has a bakery section that would make even the most dedicated dieter indulge. If you are looking for a fun place this weekend for Father's day, try Season's Bakery.

Gettysburg Signs were the creator of our shop local, buy local logo. Awesome people, terrific creativity. I was able to peek at just a few things they have created, and they seriously were all fabulous!
Hauser Winery in Gettysburg. I played with some textures on this one. I loved how the flag was the backdrop.Located right on the square in Gettysburg, you can't miss Apples and Art Antique Store. It's pretty large inside and is packed full of fantastic items.
Wentz's Stained Glass in Gettysburg not only has gorgeous glass products, but for all of you creative types out there, they teach classes! Just looking at the beatiful colors of the panes of glass made me want to create something!

The Pottery Box in Gettysburg has gorgeous handcrafted items. This is wedding season, and this store would have a really unique and beautiful gift for a wedding!

This is Nature's Pet Place. And that REALLY is a bakery case for your animals. Okay, so true confessions, if I had not known it was for dogs, I would have probably ordered something. The treats looked THAT good. Maybe if my dog goes one day without digging in my flower beds, I'll go back there and find a goodie to reward him...

This is a VERY cool store in Littlestown called HandCrafted For You. It's right off of 97 - go check it out! Barbara's creativity is mind boggling. She has really, really cool pillows, hair ties, all different kinds of fun, femine gifts! I can't wait to go back!!!

Melissa

Melissa Foreman from http://www.melissaforemanphotography.com/ asked if we could exchange photoshoots for family pics. I was so excited! I got to do hers first, and I can't wait for ours!

It couldn't have been a more perfect day for a family shoot. She was describing to me what she was envisioning, an old barn, rustic, country setting. I was almost laughing. Um, seriously, just come to my house. No really, you're describing where I live!

I love how the pics turned out! I had a hard time choosing which ones to post. I especially loved making a new friend. Melissa, we loved meeting you and your family and look forward to spending time together in the future! If you are in the Hanover area and need a good photographer, check Melissa out!

We found each other on http://www.shoplocalbuylocal.com/ Another great website for local businesses and consumers. More on that to come...

Baby Evangeline

What a sweet privilege it was to be asked by our friends to take their baby's newborn pictures. She is such a cutie, and we had so much fun capturing a few moments with her. Dave and Jenn, enjoy every second, they grow up too quickly!
